I’m Susan Winkeler, a court-appointed wedding officiant serving Winchester, VA, the Shenandoah Valley and the entire Commonwealth of Virginia.  I also own and  operate the historic Fuller House Inn, a small, intimate wedding venue located in Old Town Winchester, just three blocks from the courthouse.  Whether you want a quick, couple-only elopement, a traditional or non-traditional wedding or a vow renewal ceremony, I’m here to help.

Naturally, I would hope you would want to get married at the Fuller House Inn.  If you’re looking for an elegant historic house, beautiful wedding chapel or romantic garden setting for your small wedding, the Fuller House Inn is an affordable yet upscale choice.  Unlike other wedding venues in the Shenandoah Valley, I offer money-saving rates and free use of chairs, tables and decorative pedestals.  And, because Winchester, VA is a fast and easy place to elope, I also have two couple-only elopement packages:

  1. Couple-Only Elopement Ceremony Special — $120.00*, my standard vows, one digital wedding portrait photo, up to 20 minutes on site at the Fuller House Inn.  For marrying couples who are not bringing additional people in person or by video.
  2. Couple-Only Cottage Elopement Package — $299.00*, my standard vows, one digital wedding portrait photo, an overnight stay in the Fuller House Inn’s Cottage.  For marrying couples who are not bringing additional people in person or by video.  State and local lodging taxes apply.

If you prefer to share your wedding ceremony with friends and family members (fewer than 50 guests), I have two options for you.  Please keep in mind that the wedding ceremonies may be customized for additional time and space.  I’m happy to work with you!

  • Basic Wedding Ceremony — $165.00 plus $10.00/each person of any age on site* (up to 15 people), my standard vows, one digital photo of your choice, up to 30 minutes on site in the historic Fuller House Inn or Garden.
  • Traditional Wedding Ceremony — Save $50.00 off of the full rate — $250.00 plus $10.00/each person of any age on site* (up to 49 people), my standard vows, one digital photo of your choice, up to 60 minutes on site in the historic Fuller House Inn or Garden.

If you have another venue in mind, that’s no problem!  I’m authorized to officiate weddings anywhere in Virginia.  Please consider having me officiate your wedding at these other following locations:

  1. Courthouse (Joint Judicial Center, Winchester, Virginia) — $75.00 (cash on day of marriage) — Fast, no-frills elopement ceremony outside of the courthouse entrance during normal business hours.  For couples only.  Couples must have a current marriage license issued by either the Winchester or Frederick County circuit court clerk.
  2. Nancy Shepherd House Inn — $120.00 (cash day on of marriage), my standard vows, up to 10 minutes on site, fewer than 10 people, $10.00/each additional person of any age.
  3. Other locations in Winchester, Frederick County and the surrounding area — Please call me for pricing.  My fee will reflect time and distance traveled.
